By Resolution No. 378/2024 of the Board of the Opole Voivodeship dated June 27, 2024, a competition for the position of Director of the Józef Elsner Opole Philharmonic was announced, and detailed regulations for the competition committee were adopted. Applications must be submitted by July 31, 2024, in sealed envelopes. For postal submissions, the date of receipt by the Office determines the deadline.

To participate in the competition, candidates should meet several conditions, including: having a master's degree; at least six years of professional experience, including four years of managing a team of at least 10 people, including artistic staff; knowledge of issues related to the functioning of a philharmonic, including legal regulations concerning cultural activities and public finances. They should also present a concept for the operation and development of the Opole Philharmonic.

Preferred additional qualifications: completed studies, courses, or training in economics, management, or cultural management; completed studies in symphonic/symphonic-operatic conducting or other musical/artistic fields; knowledge of at least one foreign language at a communicative level.
