On the occasion of Poland's presidency in the EU Council, the Brussels Chamber Ensemble (BCE) is organizing a competition for Polish composers, with the main theme being Poland. The winning orchestral work will have its premiere in Brussels during the Polish presidency concert in 2025, alongside works by renowned Polish composers. The deadline for submitting scores is April 1, 2025.
The competition is open to composers with Polish citizenship, regardless of age.
The winner will be announced before May 1. Their composition will be performed for the first time in Brussels in the summer of 2025 and will be recorded. The composer will receive a cash prize of 250 euros and two free tickets to the concert.
The submission should include contact details, a brief description of the composition, the score in PDF format, and an audio file. More than one composition can be submitted.There will be no entry fee.
