Performative concerts for families with children aged 5–7 will take place at Hashtag Lab on April 27, 2025, at 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM. This time, the audience, together with the musicians of Hashtag Ensemble, will immerse themselves in sounds evoking the lightness of a butterfly and will seek inspiration in Japanese culture.
“Butterfly” in Japanese is “chōchō” – hence the subtitle of the April edition of ĄsąBąble. The musicians will tell the legend of the mysterious white butterfly and the old, eccentric Takahama, who carried a great secret in his heart. They will perform music by Keiko Abe, Toru Takemitsu, and the composer associated with the legendary Studio Ghibli – Joe Hisaishi – and will also create an onomatopoeic miniature together with the audience.
The event will include an origami workshop, during which we will make butterflies that will later fly home with music lovers. Performers include flutist Ania Karpowicz, Julianna Siedler-Smuga (percussion), Karol Tomoki-Yamazaki (piano), and the concerts will be hosted by Ania Szawiel, who also wrote the script.
The Contemporary Music Space Hashtag Lab is co-financed by the City of Warsaw.
