A moving choreography, extraordinary music, and a touching story about the power of true friendship — on 12, 13, 14, 17, 18, 19, 20, and 21 December 2025, the Stanisław Moniuszko Grand Theatre in Poznań invites families to a modern, quasi-cinematic ballet production of The Snow Queen, with music by Przemysław Zych and choreography by Robert Bondara.
Among the many fairy tales by Hans Christian Andersen, The Snow Queen is one that lends itself perfectly to the language of dance. Mirror reflections, icy spaces, and sparkling snowflakes make the characters’ steps uncertain, each of them searching for their own movement and rhythm. The artists will tell a story of being lost and finding courage, of searching and giving up, of growing up and experiencing loss, and of the strength of friendship.
The orchestra of the Stanisław Moniuszko Grand Theatre in Poznań will be conducted by Aleksander Gref.
