As part of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage Creative Scholarship, flutist Alicja Molitorys is compiling a catalog of the 21st-century compositions for solo flute and invites composers to submit information about their flute works.
The objective of the project Flute for Special Tasks – 21st-Century Sonorism in Practice and Pedagogy is to create a comprehensive catalog of contemporary repertoire, encompassing both well-known works and the latest compositions entering the concert circuit. Alicja Molitorys actively promotes such music through workshops, audio/video recordings, and online publications. While she has previously reached out to creators individually, she is now inviting all Polish composers to help gather information on 21st-century Polish flute literature. The submitted compositions will be analyzed for extended techniques, annotated, and cataloged alongside the creator and publisher contact details.
Alicja Molitorys specializes in performing contemporary music, renowned for numerous world premieres, her work with the New Music Orchestra, and her role as an initiator of innovative artistic-educational endeavors.
The project is held under the media patronage of the Polish Music Information Centre POLMIC.
