Charity Concert "Hear the Silesia"

On October 20, 2024, at 7:00 PM, the Grand Theatre - Polish National Opera will host a charity concert, with all proceeds from ticket sales going to support a school in Nowy Świętów (Głuchołazy municipality). The Chorus and Orchestra of the Polish National Opera, conducted by Yaroslav Shemet, will perform works by distinguished Polish composers. Sopranos Aleksandra Kubas-Kruk and Justyna Khil will perform as soloists. 

The concert program focuses on compositions by composers connected to the Silesia region. The audience will hear works by Bolesław Szabelski, Henryk Mikołaj Górecki, Wojciech Kilar, and Eugeniusz Knapik.

One of the project partners is the Silesian Philharmonic.
