On February 16, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. the Choir of the University of Economics in Katowice will perform together with the Silesian Philharmonic Choir. Under the direction of Jarosław Wolanin, they will perform two songs from the cycle Z pieśni kościelnych by Henryk Mikołaj Górecki: Boże Ojcze Wszechmogący oraz Święty, święty, święty
Performed by the Choir of the University of Economics in Katowice, conducted by Michał Brożek, we will also hear the songs O Magnum Mysterium by Andrej Makor and Petrus Z. Randall Stroop, in which the solo part will be performed by soprano Ewelina Tołwińska.
The Silesian Philharmonic Choir will present a program full of poetic inspirations, where choral music intertwines with texts by the greatest writers, from Joyce to Shakespeare. Love, in its spiritual and romantic form, will be the leitmotif of this unique event, which will provide unforgettable emotions.
The concert will end with the premiere of the sonnet Let Me Not To The Marriage Of True Minds by Piotr Ślęczek, also to the words of Shakespeare, which will deepen reflection on love in the context of the great playwright's poetry.
