The “Przestrzeń dla Sztuki” Foundation and the Association of Authors ZAiKS invite you to participate in the I Józef Świder Composition Competition. The subject of the competition is to create original compositions for one of three chamber music ensembles: an accordion duet, a clarinet and accordion duet, or a reed trio. Submissions will be accepted from March 3 to July 31, 2025.
The competition is open to Polish composers as well as students from higher education institutions of any nationality, provided they are at least 18 years old.
The competition consists of two stages. In the first stage, the jury will select 7 compositions to proceed to the final. The selected compositions will be premiered in the Concert Hall of the Primary Music School in Jastrzębie-Zdrój by selected chamber musicians with extensive performance experience. After the premiere concert, the jury will make the final decision and announce the results of the competition.
The total prize pool is 20,000 PLN.
