Competition for the position of Director of the Capital Royal City of Cracow Orchestra "Sinfonietta Cracovia"

The Mayor of the City of Cracow announces a competition for the position of Director of the Capital Royal City of Cracow Orchestra "Sinfonietta Cracovia", a municipal cultural institution with legal and financial autonomy, established by the Municipality of Cracow.

Applications to participate in the competition must be submitted by July 10, 2025.

The Director will be responsible for managing the operations of the Orchestra in accordance with the Act of October 25, 1991 on Organizing and Conducting Cultural Activities, as well as the Orchestra’s Statute. The Director will also be obliged to fulfill the provisions of an agreement defining the organizational and financial conditions of the Orchestra’s operation and program.

The competition will be conducted by a selection committee appointed by the Mayor of Cracow. Information regarding the committee members will be published in the Public Information Bulletin (BIP) of the Cracow City Office.

The selection process consists of two stages:

• Stage I – Formal assessment of applications (without the participation of candidates),
• Stage II – Interview, during which candidates’ proficiency in English will be verified, followed by a presentation of their own concept/proposal for leading the institution.
