The Polish Chamber Musicians’ Association, publisher of the quarterly Notatnik Pianistyczny, announces the composition competition “Chopin Inspirations”, dedicated to piano miniatures inspired by the waltzes or mazurkas of Fryderyk Chopin. The submission deadline is June 30, 2025.
The competition will be held in two categories:
– for professional composers born before 1999,
– and an open category (no age restrictions).
There is no strict limit on the length of submissions, though the organizers recommend adhering to the idea of a miniature.
The jury will consist of professional pianists and composers. Their names will be published on the Association’s website by the end of May.
Results will be announced no later than July 31.
