On January 12, 2019 at 7:00 p.m., the State Music School Complex in Elbląg will host a New Year's concert of the Elbląg Chamber Orchestra and its guests.
Marcin Zdunik, who dominated the 6th International Witold Lutosławski Cello Competition by winning the first prize, the Grand Prix title and nine other prizes, will perform as soloist along with Karolina Nowotczyńska, concertmaster of the EOK. The orchestra will be led by Marek Moś. The programme will include: Fantasy for cello and orchestra, Op. 52 by Mieczysław Wajnberg,recorded by Marcin Zdunik and the Sinfonia Varsovia Orchestra, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Sinfonia Concertante KV 364 (arr. for violin, cello and string orchestra) and Adagio and Fugue in C minor KV 546 (arr. for string orchestra), as well as Wojciech Kilar's Orawa.
The concert is organised under the patronage of the PWM Edition as part of the TUTTI.pl project promoting performances of Polish music.
