Escape Room with the Polish Music Library: Karol Szymanowski and the Lost Score

Who painted the portrait of Karol Szymanowski that is still in the "Atma" villa? Who is the mysterious Kicia? Who is named in the dedication of Mythes, Op. 30? All these questions will be addressed on May 27, 2026 at 10.00 am as the staff members managing the Polish Music Library—a portal run by the PWM Edition—invites the audience to the UNA bookstore-cafe in Kraków (Rynek Główny 36) to participate in the game "Escape Room with the Polish Music Library: Karol Szymanowski and the Lost Score". The event is a part of the "Funduszowy Maj" initiative organized by the Ministry of Funds and Regional Policy.

From 10.00 am to 1.00 pm, during this educational gameplay, participants will solve musical riddles using the resources of the Polish Music Library portal. The game's concept is based on the escape room format, with the puzzles focusing on Karol Szymanowski and unraveling the mystery of the lost score.

The game is aimed at youth aged 14 and over, accompanied by an adult.
