Just before Christmas, Sinfonietta Cracovia invites you to the last concert of 2024, dedicated to families – “Świąteczna Sinfonietka” (Christmas Sinfonietka) on December 22 at 4:00 PM at the Nowa Huta Cultural Centre. The concert will be hosted by RMF Classic journalist Urszula Urzędowska, who will help children dive into the world of music.
As part of the “Sinfonietka” series, the orchestra collaborates with local music ensembles composed of young artists and charitable organizations. This time, alongside the renowned musicians of Sinfonietta Cracovia, the Cracow Philharmonic Boys' and Girls' Choir, students from the Marimba Laboratory Cracow Percussion School, and students from the Ignacy Jan Paderewski Secondary Music School in Cracow will perform under the baton of Katarzyna Tomala-Jedynak.
The concert program, which also includes non-musical attractions and Christmas surprises, is a multigenerational and international proposal.
We will step into the Christmas and romantic comedy atmosphere with the dance rhythm of Samba butelkowa by Polish composer Maciej Zieliński – known for his music in the film Tylko mnie kochaj (Only Love Me). We will also hear the song Dzień jeden w roku by Seweryn Krajewski, as well as carols like Christmas Angels, We Wish You a Merry Christmas, Carols of the Bells, and music by Craig Armstrong, John Williams, and John Marks.
The concert is co-financed by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage from the Culture Promotion Fund. Program name: “Generacja Sinfonietta”.
