Furl is the solo album by Aleksandra Demowska-Madejska, released by PGM-Audio – the studio of Piotr Grella-Możejko in Canada – and dedicated to the contemporary viola. Since October 2, 2025, the album has been available in stores in Canada and Poland, as well as on streaming platforms.
The album brings together works by composers from Poland, Brazil, Colombia, Germany, the United Kingdom, and Canada, showcasing a rich spectrum of new sonoristic techniques and experiments with electronics and viola preparation. The compositions by Jeanne Artemis, Michele Abondano, Sarah Westwood, Tatiana Catanzaro, Katarzyna Taborowska, and Piotr Grella-Możejko, performed by Aleksandra Demowska-Madejska, form a narrative exploring the limits of perception, transformation, and the tangibility of sound.
The album is the result of the artist’s many years of experience in performing contemporary music and her collaboration with renowned composers from across the globe.
