III NeoArte Festival - The Synthesizer of Art, showcasing the most interesting trends in contemporary music and art, will take place in Gdańsk from October 24 to 27, 2024. The patron of this year’s edition will be the world-renowned Belgian artist Stefan Prins. A total of 12 multidisciplinary concerts and performances are planned, including 7 world premieres. Composition students will have the opportunity to participate in composition workshops led by the festival's patron and in reading sessions workshops conducted by NeoQuartet.
The concept of the event focuses on the artistic synthesis of various cultures and fields of art, providing an opportunity for cross-disciplinary integration and the creation of interdisciplinary projects. The festival is organized and produced by the NeoArte Association. Thanks to it, this edition will also introduce us to the latest global trends in contemporary music and art, performed by artists from around the world.
During most events, the audience will be part of the artistic process. Among the performers, we will hear leading international creators (Bozzini Quartet, Contemporánea - Live Electronics Denmark, Davi Bird, Tilen Kravos), as well as the most prominent Polish ensembles and soloists (New Music Orchestra, Aleksander Wnuk, Piotr Peszat, Tomasz Prasqual, Jakub Gucik, People from Wool). Especially for the festival, Anna Zaradny’s performance and a video installation by Filip Ignatowicz will be created, to be presented during the concert marathon at Gdańsk’s NOMUS.
The festival hosts, NeoQuartet, will perform several times: they will present the spectral world of Romanian artist Horatiu Radulescu, Asian contemporary music, and premiere multimedia works by composers from Denmark, Poland, and Sweden.
Among the premieres will be Skraarg by Dobromiła Jaskot for string octet and "Can there be too much Love in this world?" - String Quartet No. 2 by Tomasz Prasqual.
Children and young people will also have the chance to participate in workshops introducing them to the fascinating world of contemporary art.
