The Polish Society for Contemporary Music invites children aged 3–8 and their parents to the next improvisation workshop “Tell Me a Fairy Tale”, which will take place on Friday, November 7, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. at the “I Hear – I Speak – I Feel” Foundation headquarters, 8 Mieszka I Street, Wołomin.
The workshops will be led by outstanding improvising musicians: composer and pianist Jarosław Siwiński, double bassist Małgorzata Kołcz, and beatboxer Patryk “TikTak” Matela. Participation is free of charge.
The program will be highly engaging for all children, including those with special needs. Participants will get to know contemporary music better and discover, among other things, what an octopus on a walk, frogs in a pond, or tools in a workshop might sound like, while having fun exploring a variety of sounds.
Alongside free improvisation and activities inspired by storybooks, children will learn different sound-producing techniques that highlight coloristic and dynamic aspects of sound, and they will also have the opportunity to play various percussion instruments themselves.
Each workshop lasts about 90 minutes and includes a short break.
