Premiere performance of Michał Jurkiewicz's operetta In the Kingdom of Music will be held on September 23, 2016 at the Krystyna Bochenek Cultural Centre in Katowice.

The performance, directed by Dariusz Niebudek, is addressed to children aged 5-10 and involves vocal (arias, duos, choral fragments), instrumental and dance parts, as well as monologues and dialogues. The soloists, choir and orchestra will be conducted by the composer himself.

The project is co-financed by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage ("Composing Commissions" programme operated by the Institute of Music and Dance).
