Inauguration of the 2024/2025 season of the NFM Choir and NFM Wrocław Phiharmonic

During the inauguration of the 10th anniversary season of the National Forum of Music (NFM) on October 4, 2024, at 7:00 PM, the talented youth of Lower Silesia will perform alongside the NFM Wrocław Philharmonic and the NFM Choir under the baton of maestro Andrzej Kosendiak. This performance will showcase the contemporary musical life of Wrocław as a collaborative effort across generations.

On June 29, 1945, the first post-war concert of the orchestra, known as the Wrocław Philharmonic, took place. The program included works such as Polonaise in A major by Fryderyk Chopin, Fairy Tale by Stanisław Moniuszko, and Melody by Ignacy Jan Paderewski. These pieces will return to the program for the first anniversary concert. Additionally, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Great Mass in C minor will be performed.

The soloists will be Nardus Williams (soprano), Anna Mikołajczyk-Niewiedział (soprano), Krystian Adam Krzeszowiak (tenor), Paweł Horodyski (bass), Natalia Dragan (violin), and Nazarij Stasyshyn (piano).

An hour earlier, at 6:00 PM on Plac Wolności, a plaque commemorating Andrzej Kosendiak’s collaboration with the Witold Lutosławski National Forum of Music in Wrocław will be ceremoniously unveiled.
