The inauguration of the new season at the NFM Wrocław Philharmonic, marking the ensemble’s 80th anniversary, will be a meeting not only with the artistry of the orchestra itself but also with that of soloist Karol Mossakowski. The newly appointed artistic director of the NFM’s organ concert series will perform with the orchestra on October 3, 2025, at 7:00 PM, under the baton of Jacek Kaspszyk.
Together, they will present Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Piano Concerto in A major, KV 414, as well as the virtuosic Paganini Variations by Witold Lutosławski, arranged by Mossakowski for organ and orchestra. This unique version will offer the audience a fresh perspective on these beloved works.
The second half of the evening will feature Richard Strauss’s monumental Alpine Symphony, conducted by Jacek Kaspszyk, a maestro particularly esteemed for his interpretations of the late-Romantic repertoire.
Prior to the concert, at 6:00 PM in the NFM foyer (level -1), there will be a meeting with the artistic director of the organ concert series.
