The Polish Society of Contemporary Music invites children aged 6-11 to the concert "Variations and Oddities," which will take place on International Music Day, October 1, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the Wawer Cultural Center, located at Żagańska 1a in Warsaw. The concert will be led by composer and pianist Jarosław Siwiński, whose compositions will be performed during the event.
Together with actor Grzegorz Ociepka, he will demonstrate the many ways to play with music, inventing increasingly whimsical variations of a single musical theme. The concert will include clarinetist Bogdan Kraski, pianist Dagny Baczyńska-Kissas, percussionist Bartłomiej Sutt, and double bassist Małgorzata Kołcz, accompanied by video animations.
The performers will introduce the young audience to the world of contemporary music.
Media patronage: Polish Music Information Centre POLMIC.
The concert is co-financed by the City of Warsaw as part of the project "Music and Creation – Concerts for the Centenary of the Polish Society of Contemporary Music."
