The 4th BISMA – Bacewicz International Summer Music Academy will take place at the Krzysztof Penderecki European Music Centre in Lusławice from September 7 to 14, 2025. BISMA is organized by the Stretto Music Foundation. The deadline for applications is July 13.
The Academy is intended for students and graduates of higher music education institutions as well as exceptionally gifted students of music high schools. The Foundation does not take responsibility for participants under 16 years of age. Their participation in the course will only be possible in the presence of a parent or with an official consent from parents/legal guardians permitting the child’s independent participation.
The final decision regarding the candidate’s qualification for the Academy will be made by the Foundation’s director, Julia Kociuban, together with one of the professors, based on a video recording submitted via the online application form and the participant’s biography. This decision will be communicated to the candidate by email no later than August 1, 2025.
Masterclasses during the Academy will consist of two parts. Each participant is guaranteed four 60-minute masterclasses: two with Piotr Anderszewski or Claudio Martinez-Mehner and two with Vitaly Pisarenko or Ilya Maximov.
After the Academy, the professors will award the BISMA Scholarship to one selected participant, assessing their progress during the course.
Upon completion of the Academy, each participant will receive a certificate of participation.
Concerts featuring the participants are planned during the Academy, and the final program will be arranged by the professors and the director.
