On January 19, 2025, at 6:00 PM, a joint book launch will take place at the Contemporary Music Space Hashtag Lab, featuring two books related to contemporary music: “Śpiewacy eksportowi” (Export Singers) by Anna S. Dębowska and “Plim Plam Plum” by Anna Kierkosz. Admission to the event is free, and participants will have the opportunity to receive a free copy of the book “Plim Plam Plum”!

“Plim Plam Plum” by Anna Kierkosz was created as part of a one-year artistic scholarship awarded by the City of Warsaw in the field of cultural promotion. “Plim Plam Plum. Songs, Poems, and Games” is a book designed to support sensory integration and offers innovative, simple, and proven methods for engaging young children in the process of creating and listening to contemporary music. This richly illustrated book is intended for children aged 4-8, working under the guidance of parents or teachers. It provides effective ways to inspire children with a passion for music and contemporary art. The book features QR codes that lead to a world of sound and musical forms. The author of all the pieces referenced in the book and its activities is Dr. Agnieszka Widlarz, a lecturer in rhythm and piano improvisation, as well as a children's song composer. The illustrations were created by visual artist Julia Juzyk.

In “Śpiewacy eksportowi” (Export Singers), Anna S. Dębowska explores the sources of the phenomenal popularity of Polish opera singers who have gained international fame, including in the realm of pop culture. Dębowska traces the careers of nine Polish artists: Aleksandra Kurzak (soprano), Ewa Płonka (soprano), Piotr Beczała (tenor), Józef Jakub Orliński (countertenor), Mariusz Kwiecień (baritone), Artur Ruciński (baritone), Andrzej Filończyk (baritone), Tomasz Konieczny (bass-baritone), and Rafał Siwek (bass). She describes the entire musical career of these singers, who began their professional lives after 1989, and reveals some private details about her subjects’ lives.
