Jubilee Concert “Sempre fidelis arti, or Always Faithful to Art” in Łomża
Tenor Jacek Szymański and bass Dariusz Wójcik, who this year celebrate the 40th anniversary of their artistic careers, have long been deeply involved in promoting high culture. The concert featuring the artists, “Sempre fidelis arti, or Always Faithful to Art,” will take place on Saturday, 13 December 2025 at 6:00 PM in the Great Hall of the Łomża Academy (1 Akademicka Street). Admission is free, but invitations and entry passes are required.
Jacek Szymański is valued for the beauty of his voice and interpretative sensitivity. He is the initiator of numerous musical projects, including festivals and masterclasses. Dariusz Wójcik is an organizer, director, and artistic director of many cultural initiatives that promote high music in Poland. He serves as the director of the Open Theatre in Gdańsk. Both artists have been committed for years to fostering high culture, particularly in the Podlaskie and Pomeranian Voivodeships, carrying out projects aimed at the local community. Their work has been recognized with prestigious awards: the “Meritorious for the Podlaskie Voivodeship” Medal (2023), awarded by the Marshal of the Podlaskie Voivodeship, and the “Gloria Artis – Medal for Merit to Culture” (2020), bestowed by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage.
Their joint concert in Łomża is a sentimental journey through a variety of musical genres: classical music, including works by Jan Maklakiewicz and Roman Palester, film and Neapolitan music, musicals and operettas, as well as timeless songs from the interwar period. Due to the proximity of the Christmas season, the program will also include the most beautiful Polish carols and pastorals, which take on deeper meaning at this special time.
The stage will also feature outstanding instrumentalists: Przemysław Skałuba (saxophone, clarinet) and Rafał Lewandowski (piano). The event will be hosted by Mateusz Goc, a musician of the Witold Lutosławski Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra in Łomża, who will provide a cohesive narrative and introduce the audience to the atmosphere of the evening.
Admission is based on personal invitations and free entry passes. Passes are available at the Regional Cultural Centre in Łomża, 1 Małachowskiego Street.
The project is financed by the Podlaskie Voivodeship.
