The Polish Society for Contemporary Music invites you on December 3 and 4, 2018 to Rzeszów and Łańcut for concerts "Contemporary music is cosmic", during which the premiere of Aldona Nawrocka Lunares tempora for trumpet and piano will take place.
The composer is an assistant professor at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music and the head of the Composition, Instrumentation and Score Reading Workshop. She is a member of ZKP, ZAiKS, the Phonographic Academy and WOPR. Her latest work was written as part of the programme of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage "Composing Commisssions", implemented by the Institute of Music and Dance.
The events will consist of two parts: the concerts will be preceded by lectures presenting the specificity of 20th and 21st century music from the perspective of new compositional trends, techniques, contemporary articulation, score notation and formal relations. The composer will lead them together with the performers on December 3 at the Faculty of Music of the Rzeszów University and on December 4 at the Teodor Leszetycki Music School in Łańcut.
Aldona Nawrocka's composition as well as Dela Staigers' Carnival of Venice will be performed by valued chamber musicians: trumpeter Tomasz Woźniak and pianist Maria Gabryś-Heyke. Admission free!
