During the concert of the NFM Girls’ Choir and the NFM Boys’ Choir, conducted by Małgorzata Podzielny — who leads both children’s ensembles — works by the British composer Bob Chilcott and Polish composer Paweł Romańczuk will be performed. On October 26, 2025, at 5:00 PM at the National Forum of Music in Wrocław, the young singers will be joined by the Wrocław-based musical group Małe Instrumenty, founded in 2007 by Romańczuk himself.
Rurki Balony, Mechanical Friends, Daxylophone, and Compobirds IV are compositions by Paweł Romańczuk – a guitarist, educator, economist, and composer who writes music specifically for instruments of his own making. He describes his approach to composition as follows:
“I explore the sonic material that has been clearly omitted by aesthetic canons, bringing to the stage not only a different sound but also the modest appearance of ‘non-instrumental’ objects. Personally, I quickly grow bored with predictable order, and I am often saved by the juxtaposition of contradictions — that’s when much more happens in music. Cognitive dissonance, in my view, should serve new sensory experiences for the listener.”
