Duo Viaggiante is a unique ensemble formed by two instrumentalists of the young generation - violinist Aleksandra Głuch and harpist Justyna Hebda. During the matinée at the NFM on February 23, 2025 at 12:30 p.m., their performance will feature colorful works by some of the greatest French composers from the beginning of the last century - Camille Saint-Saëns and Maurice Ravel - as well as compositions closer to the present day by artists such as Ignacy Wojciechowski, Bernard Andres and Arvo Pärt.
The Duo Viaggiante's interpretation will feature Conversation by Wojciechowski, an artist of the younger generation composing film music. The piece was created especially for the duo and premiered in 2019. The concert will close with the charming Tzigane Rhapsody by one of the precursors of Impressionism - Maurice Ravel. Key to the work's conception were Hungarian and Gypsy melodies. This time Tzigane will sound in an arrangement for violin and harp by the artists who make up Duo Viaggante.
