The Polish Composers' Union and the Polish Music Information Centre POLMIC invite you to the next event in the "Meetings at the Composers'" series. "Borderlands – Opportunity or Challenge?" is the theme of the meeting on October 18, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. at the ZKP headquarters, with Dr. Alicja Gronau, Professor at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music, and Dr. Anna Ignatowicz-Glińska. Admission is free!

The borderlands of the arts – areas/fields/styles/aesthetics – their intermingling and crossing, and how they can influence each other, is one of the themes frequently explored in the creative work and academic reflections of both composers. They will share this aspect of their work, along with their music, with the participants, hoping for a spontaneous exchange of ideas during the discussion.

The program will also feature a presentation of music by world-renowned Polish women composers and refreshments at the legendary Fukier tenement house on the Old Town Market Square.
