Monographic Concert of Filip Matuszewski and World Premieres

The monographic concert of composer and pianist Filip Matuszewski will take place as part of the series "Chopin Concerts by the Graduation Tower near Frankówka" in Józefów on August 24, 2025, at 6:00 PM. The artist will give the world premiere of his latest works, performing together with mezzo-soprano Kinga Teresa Głogowska. Admission is free!

For the first time, audiences will hear Four Love Songs, composed to the poetry of Krzysztof Kamil Baczyński. The program will also include other works written for alto voice and piano. The concert is titled “…in search of light”, which reflects Filip Matuszewski’s artistic credo:

“In both my life and creative work, I constantly seek light and strive to share it with those I meet along the way. For me, light is not just a physical phenomenon governed by the laws of optics, but above all, a symbol of goodness, truth, and beauty — values that have their source in the eternal light, that is, in God Himself. My artistic work is an attempt to grasp and express these most precious essences of life that give meaning to our existence. Music is my personal language for conveying what is most essential. The task of the composer is to endlessly journey toward new sounds, forms, and emotions — to create a unique, authentic world of sound that reflects the artist’s individual vision.”

The “Chopin Concerts by the Graduation Tower near Frankówka” series is organized as part of the 2025 Józefów Participatory Budget. The event is held under the honorary patronage of the Mayor of Józefów.
