The Polish Baltic Philharmonic invites you to the concert series “Music in the Historic Sites of Old Gdańsk”, which this year will take place in the Churches of St. Barbara, St. Joseph, and St. Catherine, as well as on Gradowa Hill and at the Philharmonic Hall. Admission is free!
The series “Music in the Historic Sites of Old Gdańsk” has been bringing music to the city’s historical landmarks for over two decades. Each concert is accompanied by short talks on the history of Gdańsk and its architectural heritage.
This year’s performers include: Baltic String Quartet, Atsumi Fukuda, Joanna Kravchenko, Maksym Zajączkiewicz, Adam Bruderek, Aleksandra Stadniczenko, and Małgorzata Bleja.
A special highlight of the series is the concert on August 8, featuring a quartet of: Andrzej Wojciechowski (clarinet), Adam Bruderek (violin), Patryk Purzycki (viola), and Edyta Słomska (cello). The program will include works by Antonio Casimir Cartellieri, Astor Piazzolla, as well as the world premiere of Broken Glass by Andrzej Wojciechowski, written for clarinet and string trio.
