Karolina Mikołajczyk and Iwo Jedynecki – one of the most intriguing Polish chamber ensembles – will perform as part of the "Music Lessons" series at the Nowa Miodowa concert hall on September 10, 2024, at 7:00 PM. They will present a rich program for violin and accordion, ranging from Baroque masterpieces to contemporary sounds.
The duo was awarded the Polityka Passport for "virtuosity, boundless imagination, and creativity in selecting and creating new repertoire for the unusual combination of violin and accordion."
This is an opportunity to meet world-renowned artists in a more relaxed setting. They will not only perform a kaleidoscope of works – from classics such as Vivaldi and Mozart to contemporary pieces by Piazzolla – but also share insights about these compositions and the unique nature of violin and accordion duets. The program will also feature works by Polish composers, including Sonata for Violin and Piano by Krzysztof Penderecki (arranged for violin and accordion) and Five Pieces by Aleksander Tansman, arranged for this duo.
