The Department of Music Education at the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław and the Innovative Center for Artist Development (ICRA) invite you to participate in the National Interdisciplinary Scientific Conference "Who is the Artist? Faces of Artistic Identity in the Contemporary World." The deadline for active participation submissions is October 7, 2024, and passive participation applications are accepted until November 18.

The thematic focus of the conference stems from the need to address identity dilemmas faced by young Polish artists. The growing phenomenon of anxiety around social exposure, identity confusion, and the unstable sense of purpose in being an artist today has sparked deep scientific reflection.

The event will feature presentations by representatives from academia, artistic communities, and business sectors, as well as workshops aimed at young artists. The conference is intended for students, young artists, and educators in artistic disciplines.

The goal is to encourage a multifaceted examination of artistic identity, drawing on the experiences of actors, visual artists, and musicians.

The conference is organized as part of the project "Quo vadis, musica? – Between Mission and Duty in the Context of the Third Millennium," funded by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage from the Culture Promotion Fund.
