Let’s immerse ourselves in symphonic music from Sibelius to Bartók during the NOSPR concert conducted by Marin Alsop on January 17, 2025, at 7:30 PM! The soloist will be South Korean violinist Inmo Yang, winner of the Jean Sibelius International Violin Competition (2022).
It will be in his interpretation that we will hear Sibelius' Violin Concerto in D minor, Op. 47, a work renowned for its symphonic grandeur and the originality of its themes.
NOSPR will also perform a classic of 20th-century music – Bartók’s Concerto for Orchestra and the spectacular, sound-effect-rich Divertimento by Grażyna Bacewicz for string orchestra.
Before the concert, at 6:30 PM, musicologist Piotr Matwiejczuk will discuss the works being performed that evening in the chamber hall.
