The Coryphaeus of Polish Music will be presented for the eighth time. The award is a distinction for people, groups of artists and institutions operating in the area of genre and chronologically diversified Polish music. This is an award initiated and given by the music community. The organizer of the award is the Institute of Music and Dance. The winners will receive the Corypheeum statuette created by prof. Adam Myjak. The financial prizes were funded by the ZAiKS Association of Authors and the STOART Artists Association. The organizer of the event is the Institute of Music and Dance and Programe 2 of Polish Radio.
The gala concert titled "Different Looks at ..." will feature the Atom String Quartet, the Polish Radio Choir under the direction of Maria Piotrowska-Bogalecka and the {oh!} Historical Orchestra. We will hear compositions by D. Lubowicz, W. Lutosławskiego, K. Pendereckiego, A. Zubel i A. Jarzębskiego. The award gala will be broadcast on the websites www.polskieradio.pl and www.koryfeusz.org.pl as well as on the air of Programme 2 of Polish Radio. The beginning of transmission at 7.00 p.m.
