The international jury selected 18 participants who advanced to the second stage of the 12th Witold Lutosławski International Cello Competition. They include representatives of Poland, France, Spain, Iceland, Italy, the USA and South Korea.
The 12th Witold Lutosławski International Cello Competition is taking place at the Warsaw Philharmonic. After the first stage auditions, the international jury coposed of: Roman Jabłoński (chairman of the jury - Poland, Spain), Mindaugas Bačkus - Lithuania, Andrzej Bauer - Poland, Magdalena Bojanowicz - Poland, Henri Demarquette - France, Roel Dieltiens - Belgium, Anssi Karttunen - Finland , Yuri Laniuk - Ukraine, Jens Peter Maintz - Germany, Tomasz Strahl - Poland, Marcin Zdunik - Poland presented the names of 18 participants of the second stage of the competition.

The auditions of the second stage of the Competition will take place on May 6–8 in the Chamber Hall of the Warsaw Philharmonic.
