Pieces of Myself is a collection of ten emotions hidden within the new album by the vocal ensemble Art’n’Voices—an introspective journey in search of what is hidden, and sometimes merely covered up. The album will be released on October 24, and its concert premiere will take place on November 14, 2025, at 7:00 PM at Żak Klub.
The artists aimed to illustrate specific emotional states, ranging from the most pleasant to the most difficult. Composers Anna Rocławska-Musiałczyk and Marek Raczyński wrote ten pieces, each reflecting one emotion, specifically for Art’n’Voices, approaching the theme from two different perspectives—female and male. The lyrics to selected pieces were written by one of the ensemble’s vocalists, Marta Jundziłł.
“In the daily work of a vocal ensemble, coherence and uniformity of sound are key for us. In this project, we wanted to reveal something more personal. That’s why some of the pieces are led by a soloist—someone who becomes a direct medium of the titular emotion,” says the ensemble’s leader, Anna Rocławska-Musiałczyk.
The artists reached for unconventional means of expression. They experiment with improvisation and innovative vocal techniques that enrich the sound, drawing the listener into a unique atmosphere.
During the premiere concert, the entire material will be performed live for the first time, enhanced with vocal improvisations.
The concert will be accompanied by real-time visualizations by Maciej Giżyński, which will respond to the ensemble’s voices, creating an organic audiovisual resonance. The concert is directed by Piotr Kosewski.
During the event, the CD and limited edition vinyl records will be available for purchase!
