French music will be the theme of a concert at the NOSPR headquarters on November 28, 2024 at 7:30 p.m. It will be performed by the NOSPR under the direction of Łukasz Borowicz. We will also hear a composition by Piotr Moss, who works in France, Mademoiselle - hommage à Nadia Boulanger. Before the concert, at 6:30 pm, editor Adam Suprynowicz invites you to the chamber hall for a meeting with the composer and Łukasz Borowicz.
Nadia Boulanger was one of the most prominent representatives of neoclassicism and a legendary teacher of younger generations of composers, including Polish ones. Piotr Moss, who had the opportunity to meet Boulanger personally, also studied in Paris. He dedicated his piece Mademoiselle - hommage à Nadia Boulanger to the professor , which will be heard alongside Boulanger's own composition Fantasia for piano and orchestra. The soloist will be Éric Le Sage, a famous representative of the French school of piano.
In addition, we will hear the symphonic poem Prélude à l'Après-midi d'un faune by Claude Debussy and the 1st and 2nd suites from Albert Roussel's ballet Bacchus and Ariadne.
