"Polish Music Scene": Trio Verto at the Szczecin Philharmonic

On May 6, 2026 at 7.00 pm, at the Mieczysław Karłowicz Philharmonic in Szczecin, the piano, violin, and cello will create a space for intense dialogue and reflection. Trio Verto’s concert program combines three distinct compositions by Emanuel Kania, Andrzej Czajkowski, and Mieczysław Weinberg, where classical tradition intersects a modern musical language.

In Emanuel Kania’s romantic Trio for violin, cello, and piano, lyrical melodies prevail; the composer consistently guides the listener through shifting moods, utilizing the full range of the ensemble’s tonal colors.

Andrzej Czajkowski’s Trio notturno for violin, cello, and piano is a work that bridges traditional harmonic structures with modern, more experimental techniques. Its subtle texture, well-structured use of silence, and precisely measured expression make the piece function like a musical interior monologue, demanding exceptional focus from both the performers and the audience.

Mieczysław Weinberg’s Trio for piano, violin, and cello reflects emotional tension and the difficult atmosphere of the war years. Weinberg blends modernist techniques with lyrical clarity.

The members of the ensemble share itheir sensitivity with the audience by performing the greatest masterpieces of world chamber music in carefully thought-through recitals, while also presenting lesser-known works that never leave the listener indifferent.

The concert is co-organized by the National Institute of Music and Dance as part of the "Polish Music Scene" program, financed by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage.
