Graduation Concert of Conductor and Composer Dominik Radoń with the participation of the "Adoramus" Choir and "Aurora Collective Choir" will take place on Friday, June 13, 2025, at 8:00 PM in the St. Anne Collegiate Church in Cracow.
The concert program bridges classical choral sacred repertoire with premiere performances of Dominik Radoń’s new compositions.
This concert marks the culmination of Dominik Radoń’s master’s studies in choral conducting at the Krzysztof Penderecki Academy of Music in Kraków (in the classes of Dr. hab. Marceli Kolaska and Prof. Dr. hab. Adam Korzeniowski), and at the same time concludes his bachelor’s degree in composition at the Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz (under Dr. hab. Michał Dobrzyński, university professor).
The concert title, “Reflection”, symbolizes the meeting of two artistic worlds: that of the conductor drawing from musical tradition, and the contemporary composer.
The Adoramus Choir will perform works by Mikołaj Gomółka, Dmitry Bortniansky, and Charles Gounod.
The Aurora Collective Choir will give world premieres of Dominik Radoń’s compositions:
- Mass for Those Longing for Home
- Cruel Death, to the words of Hieronim Wietor (16th c.)
- By the Great and Clear Water, to the words of Adam Mickiewicz
Soloists:
- Gabriela Stolińska – soprano
- Maciej Styczeń – triangle
- Dawid Nowak – saxophone
