The concert premiere of Splot Orchestra's debut album, titled "fair play," will take place on July 1, 2026 at 8.30 pm as part of the Julian Cochran Foundation's "Midnight Concerts" series. The space of Hala Koszyki in Warsaw will be filled with the sounds of 10 accordions. Admission is free.
The ensemble stands out for its extraordinary energy and original repertoire, balancing classical music, avant-garde, tango, and jazz, which showcases the potential of the accordion. During the concert, conducted by Sabrina Stachel, the audience will hear pieces from their debut album.
The program features original works and arrangements written specifically for the ensemble, including Enigma - Prelude and Toccata by Krzysztof Falkowski, Eleven Train by Arkadiusz Czernysz, Libertango by Krzysztof Falkowski, Fantazja Macabre (based on themes by Camille Saint-Saëns) by Miłosz Caban, Before Silence by Sandra Tracz, and Oravian Game by Wojciech Ulanowski.
