Jury of the Witold Maliszewski National Composition Competition, consisting of: Paweł Łukaszewski – Chair, Sławomir Czarnecki, and Piotr Komorowski, after reviewing the submitted scores, awarded the following three prizes:
- 1st Prize – Wojciech Chałupka for Quattro Pezzi
- 2nd Prize – Wojciech Chałupka for Tetra Luna
- 3rd Prize – Kacper Jastrzębski for String Quartet
A total of 26 compositions were submitted, of which two were disqualified due to formal reasons and not considered for evaluation.
As part of the 7th Witold Maliszewski Festival, a ceremonial concert marking the 100th anniversary of Zalesie Dolne will take place on May 25 at 7:30 PM at the Church of Our Lady Help of Christians in Zalesie Dolne (2 Modrzewiowa Street), during which the award-winning works will receive their world premieres. Admission is free!
The Festival is organized by the “Art and Passion” Foundation and the Cultural Centre in Piaseczno, in partnership with the Mazovian Voivodeship Government, Piaseczno County, and the Municipality of Piaseczno.
