Conference ”Seven Currents of Polish Music”, organized on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Polish Composers’ Union, will be held on September 23-24, 2016 (10.00 am - 2.00 pm) at the Bogumił Linde Hall in the University of Warsaw Library (55/66 Dobra Street).
During 7 sessions devoted to seven stylistic currents, musicologists and composers will confront their views of the last 70 years of Polish music, relentlessly supported by the Polish Composers’ Union. Moderators of the panel discussions invited several guests to join the conference, including Tadeusz Wielecki, Stanisław Krupowicz, Monika Pasiecznik, Sławomir Wojciechowski, Krzysztof Meyer, Prasqual, Krzysztof Baculewski, Dariusz Przybylski, Zygmunt Krauze, Marcin Stańczyk and Jerzy Kornowicz.
The conference is the fringe event of the 59th International Festival of Contemporary Music "Warsaw Autumn".
All sessions will be translated into English.
