With the concert "Shinings", taking place on June 22, 2025 at 6:00 PM, the "441 Hz" Choir will begin promoting the repertoire that will be recorded later this year and released on an album titled Lux. Under the baton of Anna Borkowicz, the choir will perform at the Artus Court in Gdańsk, including the world premiere of a piece by Franciszek Rusek. Free admission – number of places is limited.
The concert’s theme refers to the summer solstice, the longest day of the year (which falls the day before the event). The program aims not only to showcase the beauty of choral music, but also to inspire reflection on the cyclical nature of the world.
That evening, the choir will give the world premiere of …from the darkness, composed especially for this occasion by Franciszek Rusek (born 2002), a young Gdańsk-based composer and member of "441 Hz". The program will also feature a piece for choir and solo violin, performed by distinguished artist Professor Paweł Kukliński. The rich harmonies of human voices will be complemented by the crystalline sounds of tuned glasses and subtle percussion instruments.
