Silesian Philharmonic Choir, the Children's Choir, and the Vocal Ensemble of the Karłowicz State Music School in Katowice perform together

As part of the "Chór-Mistrzowsko!" series, a unique concert will be held on May 17, 2026 at 5.00 pm at the Silesian Philharmonic. The performance will feature the Silesian Philharmonic Choir, the Children's Choir, and the Vocal Ensemble of the Mieczysław Karłowicz State Music School in Katowice, all under the baton of Małgorzata Podzielny.

The ensembles will perform choral arrangements of Fryderyk Chopin's songs and Witold Lutosławski's charming Children’s Songs with lyrics by Julian Tuwim. The evening will be complemented by Polish choral music from the 20th and 21st centuries, featuring works by Józef Świder, Marian Sawa, Paweł Łukaszewski, Miłosz Bembinow, Marek Jasiński, and Marek Raczyński.

A special place focus will be put on Michał Ziółkowski’s monumental Gloria for three mixed choirs and two children’s choirs—the epitome of a multi-voiced, intergenerational dialogue.
