Stars of Polish Avant-Garde: Penderecki, Górecki, Panufnik
The musicians of the NOSPR invite you to a chamber concert on December 12, 2024, at 7:30 PM titled "Stars of Polish Avant-Garde: Penderecki, Górecki, Panufnik"
In their interpretation, we will hear works by Krzysztof Penderecki and Henryk Mikołaj Górecki, which are in fact stylizations of the same title – Three Works in the Old Style. We will also remind the audience that Penderecki's suite consists of his music for two films: Passacagliafor the Sigismund Chapel directed by Zbigniew Bochenek (1968) and The Saragossa Manuscript directed by Wojciech Jerzy Has (1964).
The concert will conclude with Arbor cosmica by Andrzej Panufnik, who saw trees as the embodiment of the aesthetic concepts of beauty, harmony, strength, and order.
Co-financed by ZAW STOART.
