The Lux Musicae Foundation invites the audience to a chamber concert titled "In the Impressionists' Circle" on July 12, 2026, at 5.00 pm. The event will take place at the House of Literature in Warsaw's Old Town (87 Krakowskie Przedmieście St., 1st floor) and will be performed by the award-winning artists: Adam Mokrus, Piotr Hausenplas, and Ewa Skardowska. Admission is free.
All of the artists hold post-doctoral degrees (doktor habilitowany) and lecture at higher education institutions. Adam Mokrus teaches a violin class at the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice, while Piotr Hausenplas teaches a cello class at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw, where pianist Ewa Skardowska also lectures.
In their interpretation, the listeners will hear two "Parisian" sonatas: by Claude Debussy and Aleksander Tansman, as well as Maurice Ravel's masterful Trio in A minor – a piece of extraordinary virtuosity and color, rarely performed in Poland.
The event is open to the public and intergenerational. Short lectures and a quiz with prizes are also planned!
The project is co-financed by the City of Warsaw, Śródmieście District Office.
Media patronage: Polish Music Information Centre POLMIC.
