“Tell Me a Fairy Tale” – Family Improvisation Workshops 2025 in Warsaw

The Polish Society for Contemporary Music invites young children and their parents to discover new music and the world of contemporary sounds.

On Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 11:00 AM, at the “Wygoda” Cultural Centre in Warsaw (Rembertów, ul. Koniecpolska 14), the first family improvisation workshop of the year, titled “Tell Me a Fairy Tale,” will take place as part of the “Creative Warsaw” program. The workshop is dedicated to children aged 3–8 and their parents.

The workshops will be led by the creators of the project: double bassist Małgorzata Kołcz and composer Jarosław Siwiński, along with a special guest, cellist Izabela Buchowska.

Together with families, children will spend about 90 minutes (including a short break) engaged in fun and meaningful activities surrounded by improvisation, graphic books, and the sounds of our time. Participants will also explore different sound-producing techniques that highlight the color and dynamics of sound, and will have the chance to make music together with the facilitators.

Participation in the workshop is free of charge, but the number of places is limited, so registration in advance is required.
