Media patronage: Polish Music Information Centre POLMIC
Every spring, the Hashtag Lab hosts an evening which programme is dedicated to the memory of Polish Jews. On the 81st anniversary of the destruction of the Great Synagogue in Tłomackie on the 16th of May at 7:00 p.m. Artur Zagajewski's work Tree of Life with words by Chava Rosenfarb will be performed.
Tree of Life is a piece commissioned by the Marek Edelman Dialogue Center in Łódź and was written to the poems of the Yiddish poet Chava Rosenfarb. Chava survived the ghetto and eventually emigrated to Canada, where she died. Her life's work is the extensive, autobiographical novel The Tree of Life, which was recently translated into Polish.
