The Winners’ Concert of the 19th Kazimierz Serocki International Composers’ Competition, co-organized with Polish Radio Channel 2, will take place on 6 December 2025 at 6:00 p.m. at Polish Radio’s Szpilman Studio in Warsaw (al. Niepodległości 77/85). Admission is free!
A total of 125 scores from around the world were submitted to the competition. The Jury — Paweł Łukaszewski (Chair, Poland), Dariusz Przybylski (Poland), and Anna Dorota Władyczka (Poland) — awarded the following prizes:
- First Prize (12,000 PLN): Eneko Vadillo Pérez (Spain) for Ramificatios for flute, clarinet, violin and cello.
- Second Prize (7,000 PLN) and the Special Prize of the Polish Music Publishing House for the competition’s youngest laureate: Sang-hyun Hong (South Korea) for Nah aber fern, fern aber nah... for string quartet.
- Third Prize (4,000 PLN): Andrew List (USA) for Journey Toward the Eternal Flame for oboe, bassoon and piano.
The winning works will be performed by musicians of Hashtag Ensemble and Akademia PRO Hashtag Ensemble, conducted by Piotr Bywalec.
The prizes were funded by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. The event is co-financed by the Fund for the Promotion of Culture as part of the programme “Music”, implemented by the National Institute of Music and Dance.
