The Polish Composers' Union Annual Awards are granted to Polish composers, performers, musicologists, educators, and music organizers for outstanding achievements. In 2026, the Jury decided to honour four individuals with this award.
Beata Bolesławska-Lewandowska received the award in recognition of her scholarly achievements, with a special distinction for her latest publication, Zygmunt Mycielski: Between Music and Politics, which constitutes the first source-based biography of this eminent composer and intellectual.
Anna Zawadzka-Gołosz was honoured for her outstanding and original compositional output, acclaimed both in Poland and abroad, as well as for her long-standing activity and collegial attitude within the Polish Composers' Union.
The Cracow Duo: Kalinowski & Szlezer was granted the award for 25 years of eminent artistic activity, promoting Polish contemporary music worldwide, and motivating composers to engage in creative work.
The Jury consisted of: Małgorzata Woźna-Stankiewicz (Chair), Beata Bolesławska-Lewandowska, Marcel Chyrzyński, Paweł Hendrich, and Violetta Przech.
The official awards ceremony is scheduled to take place this September during the 69th "Warsaw Autumn" International Festival of Contemporary Music.
