The National Composition Competition for a Compulsory Piece for Solo Violin accompanies the 2nd Karol Lipiński International Violin Competition, which will take place from November 22 to 28, 2026 at the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław. The competition is open to Polish composers who will be under the age of 35 by August 31, 2026. The deadline for submissions is August 31.
The competition offers a unique opportunity to promote contemporary composition and to become part of the program of a prestigious musical event with an international reach.
Each participant may submit only one piece, which has not been awarded in any other composition competition. The score cannot contain the author's name or any markings that would allow to identify the author.
The Jury will award one Grand Prize, namely the inclusion of the winning piece in the repertoire of the 2nd Karol Lipiński International Violin Competition as a compulsory piece (Stage I), as well as a cash prize of PLN 5,000 funded by the organizer.
